Ordained Women
by Rev. Theresa Pierce
The chosen daughters of the King
A wondrous, special kind of thing
To be chosen as Your very own
To carry power from Your throne.
To remove burdens and destroy yokes
Of all the elite and common folks.
Ordained and chosen, part of the few
Anointed for wondrous acts to do.
Though many left us--unaccepted
It is only You who has selected.
Our lives, we give in honor to You
Almighty God, faithful and true.
Give words of wisdom for us to speak
To enrich the poor and strengthen the weak
We wait to hear what You have to say
Holy Spirt, we wait--show the way.
As You show us the way the world can come out
Forgive us, Lord, when we fear or doubt
Deliver us from any inhibition
Help us take our warrior position.
Our calling requires mighty valor to bring
When the battle gets tough, we'll still sing
Of Your great Love, the crux of it all
Love which constrains, that we won't fall.
We sing in harmony, Your chosen daughters
We lock arms and march ahead to slaughter
Principalities, powers...all the demons from hell,
In the power of Your might, we'll do it well!
Strengthen us Lord, through the stress and strain
So we bring forth fruit You said would remain
In Your presence we know we can accomplish much
We ask for assurance--Your anointed touch.
Help us enter doors only You have opened
Only the ones that leave us hoping
That just inside is the way made straight
Where we can freely anticipate
Your favor around us, goodness and mercy behind
In all of Your Glory, we'll ARISE AND SHINE.
As we decidely put Satan's works asunder
We're embraced within Your gentle thunder.
As we win the lost, one by one
We eagerly wait to hear, "Well done!"
THEN we'll find our eternal rest
YOU'VE won the battles, we've passed the tests.
